Senior Project Geologist

EPS Environmental Services, Inc., a Chicago based environmental consulting firm is seeking a Senior Project Geologist for a full-time position. Responsibilities include, collecting and compiling data in the field and entering data into standard programs and researching technical/regulatory requirements associated with the IEPA SRP and LUST programs. Traveling to field assignments, technical writing, field sampling observation/data collection, standard routine calculations, compiling information from reports and recognizing discrepancies in results. Represent EPS Environmental and interact in a professional manner with client/subcontractor representatives, ensuring administrative policies and procedures as well as methods/procedures are followed and understands and applies safety requirements.

5-10 years of prior related work experience; experience in fieldwork is desirable along with a Professional Geologist accreditation. Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Hydrogeology or Engineering required. Experience with desktop and industry-specific software (e.g., MSOffice, AutoCAD). Must have sound written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate clearly with on-site contractors, supervisor or project manager regarding work assignments. Hands on knowledge of the use of field equipment.
